How to Create a Share-able Altmetric Dashboard
Answer
- In Altmetric Explorer, click Edit Search button (top middle)
- In Verified Department, write name of unit to search and select from drop-down options
- Run Search (bottom right)
- Click + Save Search button (top right)
- Click the Saved Searches button (grey area, top left)
- Recommended: Change the search name to something pithy and relevant, such as "School of Education - Altmetric Highlights", by clicking the green Edit (pen icon, at right) next to the relevant search
- Click the blue Create or Edit a Shareable Report button (page icon, towards right)
- Click the blue Edit Report button at top
- Recommended: Change the report name to match above-chosen name
- Recommended: Move the top research output list to the top and consider adding more
- Click the red X button to delete sections: Overview, Attention Breakdown, Source Breakdown
- Click the blue Add Overview button (top left)
- Click the blue Attention Breakdown button (top left)
- Click the blue Add Attention Chart button (top left)
- Edit the Top 5 Research Outputs and make the number higher
- Tick the Make public" box (bottom left)
- Click the Save Changes button (bottom left)
- Click the blue Share report button (top right)
- Copy the link to embed in desired location
