How to Add Drexel Connect Single Sign On to Your ORCID Account

You can add Drexel Connect Single Sign-On to your ORCID account and spend less time searching for that additional password. ORCID calls this Alternate sign in accounts.
- Go to https://orcid.org/institutional-signin (if an orange error box pops up, just ignore it)
- In the Organization box, type Drexel University (it should be enough to type the first 4 characters) and select Drexel University from the drop-down
- Click the Continue button
- If you are not already authenticated via Drexel Connect, complete your Drexel Connect sign-in. This takes you to the Link Your Drexel University account page (sample screen shot in ORCID help)
- Paste your ORCID into the first box and enter your ORCID password in the second box
- Click the Sign in and link your Drexel University account button
All done! From now on, you can easily sign into ORCID via Drexel Connect -- just remember to always use the
Sign in through your institution button.
Important!
- You still need to remember your ORCID credentials, so store that information for the long term. Why?
- To see your configured alternate sign-ins, sign into ORCID > click your name at the top right > select Account settings.
- Leaving Drexel? No worries. Just unlink your Drexel authentication from your ORCID account.
