I understand that this is a shared device set up with Guest User settings. These settings reset all data and configurations once you log out or restart. User accounts have restricted access rights, which means users can't get into system settings or change files.
Shared devices have Private browsing mode enabled by default when opening Chrome. Regularly clears browser history, cache, and cookies upon user logout or reboot.
I hereby acknowledge that Drexel University and its affiliated entities shall not assume responsibility for any data or personally identifiable information that may remain on any shared device that has been loaned to me for any purpose.
I am authorized to use the device only within the Library and under my supervision. I will return the device before leaving the Library.
Users are permitted to borrow devices for a maximum period of five (5) hours at a time. Borrowing duration beyond this specified time limit may result in violation of the borrowing policy, which could lead to restricted borrowing privileges or other appropriate actions as determined by the library management. It is the responsibility of the user to adhere to the designated borrowing time to ensure fair access and availability of devices to all patrons.
I acknowledge that I am responsible for the costs of repair and /or replacement of the device which result from misuse, or neglect by myself or any other persons. My maximum liability for repair or replacement is the current market value of a new replacement device.
I am responsible for any overdue device, replacement costs, and applicable late fees. The Libraries reports all outstanding fees to the University at the end of each academic quarter.
