Publishing Open Access Under the Royal Society of Chemistry Agreement
Drexel University Libraries has established a Read & Publish agreement with the Royal Society of Chemistry. Under this agreement, Drexel affiliated authors can publish Green Hybrid Open Access, without paying any article processing charges (APCs), in any of RSC's hybrid journals from January 1st, 2024 until December 31st, 2024.
Under the terms of this agreement, Drexel affiliated authors will receive a 15% discount on APCs for Gold Open Access RSC journals.
Answer
Process
- Submit your article for publication to one of the hybrid journals covered by the agreement.
- Once your article has been accepted for publication, you will receive an acceptance email from RSC.
- Click the link in your acceptance email.
- In the article licensing process, the Drexel-affiliated author should be listed as the corresponding author.
- Click "Start Now."
- Next, you will choose your publication route. Ensure that the Read & Publish Agreement from Drexel University is an option. Select "Gold Open Access Publication."
- You will now choose the article license you wish to publish under.
- Confirm your choices.
- Your article will now be published open access!
