Publishing Open Access under the Springer Nature Agreement

Drexel University Libraries, through a partnership with Lyrasis, has established an agreement with Springer Nature in which Drexel-affiliated authors are eligible to publish their articles open access with fees covered in hybrid journals across the Springer Nature portfolio between January 1st, 2024 and December 31st, 2027.

Process

  • Submit your article for publication to one of the journals covered by the agreement in the Springer Nature Portfolio
  • Once your article has been accepted for publication, you will receive an email from Springer Nature to complete the publication process.
  • Ensure that the Drexel-affiliated author is listed as the corresponding author and include Drexel University, your Drexel email, and your location in the information.
  • Next, you will be able to confirm that you want to publish open access with the article processing charges waived and you will be able to choose which publishing license you wish to publish under.
  • Finally, your article will be published open access!
