Publishing Open Access under the Institute of Physics Agreement

Drexel University Libraries has established an agreement with the Institute of Physics Publishing (IOPP) that provides unlimited read access to IOP journals and waives article processing charges for Drexel-affiliated authors who wish to publish open access. To publish open access with no article processing charge, the you must:

  • Be the corresponding author.
  • Have a manuscript accepted for publication after January 1st, 2024.

Process

  • Submit your article for publication to one of IOPP's covered journals (List A, B, and D).
    • When submitting your article make sure the Drexel-affiliated author is listed as the corresponding author.
  • After you submit your article, IOPP will contact you via email if your article is eligible under the transformative agreement to be published open access with a waived APC.
  • Once your article has been accepted for publication you will be able to sign the copyright form to publish under the terms of the agreement.
