Yes, the Drexel Libraries provides access to content from many news publications, including the Chronicle of Higher Education, New York Times, Washington Post, Philadelphia Business Journal, Philadelphia Inquirer and more.

Though you may be familiar with visiting websites for newspaper content, accessing newspapers through the Drexel Libraries often requires using a database. Going through a database will ensure you do not have to pay.

The following library databases provide access to additional local, national and international news:

• Factiva provides access to sources of local, regional, national, and international news, general insight, selected financial information and profiles for publicly traded U.S. and international companies, industry reports, quotes for financial instruments, and stock market data. News content types include: newspapers, magazines, media transcripts, wire services, transcripts, images, blogs, and websites.
• ProQuest Newspapers: U.S. Northeast Newsstream enables users to search the most recent regional news content, as well as archives which stretch back to the 1980s featuring newspapers, newswires, and news sites in active full-text format. Northeast Newsstream covers news sources from Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Includes full-text access to the Philadelphia Inquirer from 1981-present
