What is a finding aid?
How can I find out more about a specific archival collection?
Answer
A finding aid is a guide to an archival collection. It describes a collection's contents and includes information about the creator or creators, what dates it covers, and how it is organized. If you're researching an aspect of Drexel University's history, you are encouraged to look over the publicly available finding aids to see if there’s anything that seems relevant.
While portions of a collection may have been digitized, and may already be available on the digital repository, the finding aid will not include links to that material.
If you don't find anything that looks useful through searching the finding aids, or if you want to learn more about a collection and how to access it, please contact the Drexel University Archives at archives@drexel.edu.
